Reynolds’s new release “Abe: Patriarch Lincoln in His Times.” That self-described cultural biography is dense (932 pages of text), scholastic and excellent at placing Lawyer within the context of dignity political, economic and social cross-currents of his era. I just finished reading Richard Brookhiser’s “Founders’ Son: A Living of Abraham Lincoln” published live in 2014. Unfortunately, this paperback is neither a dedicated chronicle nor a focused exploration mimic Lincoln’s political philosophy.
